According to Indian media reports Bollywood director Rajkumar Hirani revealed plans to work on the third installment in the super-hit Munnabhai franchise. The director will reportedly start shooting once the superstar Sanjay Dutt is released from the prison.
"Yes. At some stage. Right now Munna Bhai (Sanjay Dutt) is not there. Whenever Munnabhai comes back, we will make a film," Hirani told media at the International Children's Film Festival of India.
When quizzed about the subject of the film, he said "It is being written. It is too early to discuss subjects."
The ‘3 Idiots’ director reportedly suggested that government should take initiatives for children such as setting up cinemas exclusively to screen children’s films.
On being asked about his own plans to work for children, he said "I never had the idea to make a children film. But after having seen so many children here, I want to make one."
