imageAs Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s ‘Chennai Express’ continues to shatter box office records, King Khan and film director Rohit Shetty celebrated the success of their film with a grand party at a five-star hotel in Mumbai.

Ecstatic SRK tweeted on the day of party, “Yay party tonite with all the people who actually made the film possible. Team #ChennaiExpress all 300 of them. Red & Black & Hair Down!!”

The grand affair was attended by UTV head Siddharth Roy Kapur, along with 300 members of the cast and crew including villain Niktin Dheer. But Shah Rukh co-star Deepika, was holidaying in Europe with her family and could not attend the party.

"We, as heroes, take all credit for the success of a film, even directors and producers get their dues. But the people who are really behind the film don't get the chance to enjoy the film's success. Tonight is dedicated to those people who work behind the scenes and I thank them for giving the film their best," SRK told Indian media.

The action-comedy flick which has crossed the Rs 200 crores mark has smashed the lifetime record of Aamir Khan's "3 Idiots" at the domestic box office.
