KARACHI: Milan Luthria’s ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 2’ starring Imran Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sonakhshi Sinha and Sonali Bendre is slated for a release this Eid, a time when Bollywood heartthrob Salman Khan’s films are released.
According to Indian media sources, Imran Khan, who plays an important role in the film stated, “Who will overtake Salman Khan? Nobody is super enough to do that!" After Salman Khan’s ‘Wanted’ was released Eid 2008, the Dabangg star made it a tradition to release his films around that time of the year. Salman’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ was reportedly released on Eid last year, however, with no film of Tiger Khan releasing this year, Once upon A Time in Mumbaai 2 and Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express, starring Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukherji and Deepika Padukone are expected to hit big screen this Eid.
It is reported that this year Salman Khan will be starring in Sohail Khan’s Mental and Sajid Nadiawala’s Kick which are to be released next year. It is alleged that Salman Khan is not very keen to continue with the quirky title of the film ‘Mental’ urging Sohail Khan to change the name. The film reportedly is a remake of the Telugu hit Stalin starring Daisy Shah, Sana Khan, Tabu and Mukul Dev along with Salman Khan.
