imageOur mobile phones have come a long way with tons of specs and utility, it has become a modern necessity. However, the charging time has not improved taking more than an hour for most part, but not anymore, as one can recharge your smartphone within 15 minutes.

All thanks to the introduction of a graphene battery, launched by a Chinese electronics company Dongxu Optoelectronics, called the ‘G-King.’ According to Digital Trends, the G-King has a 4,800mAh capacity that is considerably more than what we see in a smartphone, and found more in small tablets, or laptops.

imageThe Chinese electronics firm claims that the battery regains its lost charge within 13-15 minutes. A Dongxu further claim that the cell is strong enough to be discharged and recharged 3,500 times, which is seven times better than the conventional Li-Ion battery, reported China Topix.

All this recharging power comes through Graphene, the revolutionizing material which could make our electronics more efficient, other than making flexible screens possible, and can be used to improve heart rate and fingerprint sensors.

Last year, the Korean smartphone maker, Samsung revealed that it was working on a graphene battery for mobile phones 1.8 times more powerful than those currently use.
