Great news for all the Potter fans out there! A new Harry Potter book is in the line and will be available to fans at midnight on July 31, coinciding with Harry Potter's birthday.
The book titled Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I & II would mark JK Rowling's first publication of the Potter series in eight years.
The latest installment picks up the story of famous trio Harry, Ron and Hermione, 19 years after the famous ‘Battle of Hogwarts, in the epilogue to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, according to author J.K. Rowling's website Pottermore.
The website added that the story is staged in two parts, due to the ‘epic nature of the story.’
The upcoming 8th edition of the ‘Harry Potter’ series is also the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage.
From its title, ‘the Cursed Child’ that indicates that Harry's peace and parental bliss is short lived, however, not much could be said about the plot beyond the official synopsis, released in late 2015. It reads:
It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.
While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
According to The Telegraph, The Little, Brown Book Group is the successful publishers. CEO of the Brown Book Group, David Shelley said, "We are so thrilled to be publishing the script of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Rowling and her team have received a huge number of appeals from fans who can't be in London to see the play and who would like to read the play in book format – and so we are absolutely delighted to be able to make it available for them."
The book announcement recalls feverish anticipation, endless speculation and waiting in long queues to fetch a copy of the newest Harry Potter installment.
