People around the globe have termed the Taliban attack on a local school in Peshawar as ‘sickening’ and ‘appalling’. Celebrities and other media personalities have been mourning the death of the innocent souls who lost their lives during the massacre.
Pakistani actors took to Twitter to voice their anger and shock over the recent incident.
Pakistani singer turned actor Ali Zafar said, “This is sad. Real sad!. Our leaders should announce to collectivity build & rebuild even more schools tomorrow and make education their first priority rather than politics”.
He gave a strong message to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif saying, “Dear PM, This is your opportunity to change Pakistan forever. We are watching so are our children. Think big and wise. Take bold steps. Lead!”
He also lit candles at Kohsar market, Islamabad to pay homage to the victims of the Peshawar attack. Zafar said, “Each small candle, lights a corner in the dark”.
‘Bol’ actress Mahira Khan also tweeted, “The smallest coffins are the heaviest. It’s sick how these cowards think. #PeshawarAttack”.
Humaima Malik condemned the massacre and said, “No condemnation of any proportion would suffice to compensate for the losses that mothers have suffered for their innocents. May Allah rest them in peace & give miraculous courage to parents. Please stop inflicting savagery on the innocents. They belong to the faith of love and humanity. They know nothing else”.
Fawad Khan tweeted, “To kill innocent children is the worst form of brutality. Deeply saddened and shocked by the tragedy. My heart and prayers go out to the families suffering in Peshawar”.
