‘Defenders’ a Pakistani short documentary on Pakistan’s armed forces has won the ‘Best Documentary Award’ at the Rome film festival.
According to local media reports, Director General Inter-Services Public Relation (DG ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa has stated on Twitter that ISPR’s short film ‘Defender’ has won the Best Documentary Award in the Rome Film Festival on Saturday. DG ISPR congratulated the team for making a great movie which represents Pakistan in the international film festival.
Major General Bajwa tweeted, “ISPR short film ‘Defender’ wins best Documentary Award in its category at Rome Film Festival. Best compliments to the entire creative team. Proud moment”.
The ISPR’s creative team, Col Salahuddin, Maj Hassan Miraj and Maj Imran Raza produced the award winning documentary, was present at Rome Film Festival to receive their award, media reported.
‘Defenders’ is a short tribute to the Pakistani Armed Forces, Navy and Air Force for their continuous efforts to wipe out terrorism from the country. It’s a special tribute to those who are currently fighting in the major anti-terrorist operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ in North Waziristan.
