Oscar winning star Julia Robert and her husband Dany Morder has been honored ‘Humanitarian award’ by GLSEN's (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network). Robert received this award at the same hotel where she filmed ‘Pretty Women’.
According to foreign media reports ‘Pretty Women’ star said, “A humanitarian is a person who brings attention to the welfare and good works of others. In that regard, we are that. We are all that. I feel like this award should be the big mom award because that is what moms do all day, every day”.
“My husband Moder couldn’t come to event due to work commitments but I’m so moved, I’m so amazed and I feel that it is now our responsibility as the Moder family , me and the four of them who didn’t come, to support all of you in this room in any and every way we can”, actress added.
Filmmaker Ryan Morphy presented the award to Julia Roberts. The award acknowledges couple’s work as a philanthropist such as GLSEN, UNICEF, Heal the Bay and Stand Up to Cancer.
