Tahliah Debrett Barnett a.k.a FKA Twigs who is hitting headlines for dating ‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson has been currently receiving racial abuse for dating the star.
As soon as the alleged couple was caught in PDA, FKA twigs have been the target of racist abuse on Twitter. The 26-year-old singer has been criticised since she was seen getting close and cosy with heartthrob, Robert Pattinson, media reported.
The Jamaican-English singer took twitter to voice her shock and disappointment and said, “I am genuinely shocked and disgusted at the amount of racism that has been infecting my account the past week. Racism is unacceptable in the real world and it’s unacceptable online”.
According to media reports, Tahliah has a father who is Jamaican and a mother who is of both English and Spanish descent. Numerous Twitter users have spewed hateful comments on her Twitter account. One user wrote, “you’re like a monkey, really I can’t believe that rob kissed you”. Another user said, “I can’t believe I have changed Robert Goddess Kristen for this monkey”.
