Venice city officials have announced to close the two walkways to the Grand Canal to keep the crowd away from George Clooney’s nuptial.
According to an order issued to the city by police earlier today, the two walkways which lead up to the 16th Century Cavalli Palace will be closed for the George Clooney Wedding, as authorities are worried gathering onlookers could cause overcrowding and pose a health and safety risk, media reported.
Reportedly, this is not the first time that the passage has been closed for the grand wedding; the Cavalli Palace is used for civil marriage ceremonies, with rooms overlooking the Grand Canal and the famous Rialto Bridge.
Meanwhile, former ‘ER’ star and his human rights lawyer fiancée Amal Alamuddin is preparing for their grand wedding with the approval of their parents.
Despite George’s $180 million fortune, it was recently reported Amal’s parents insisted on sticking to tradition and paying for the wedding. A source said, “Crazy enough, her family is paying for most of it!” media reported.
