A judicial magistrate court has issued non-bailable warrants against Geo TV’s owner Mir Shakil and TV host Shaista Lodhi for airing blasphemous content in its morning show, private media reported.
Reportedly, warrants against actress Veena Malik Khan and her husband Asad Bashir Khan have also been issued for being part of that program. The court has called the team for a proceeding on September 20, 2014.
Previously, the special court of terrorism issued an arrest warrant against the Geo team, who were summoned by the court for a hearing, yet failed to appear.
