Pakistan’s veteran actor Maqsood Hassan passed away yesterday due to cardiac arrest.
The veteran radio and TV artist, whose career spanned nearly 50 years, died of a heart attack in Karachi at the age of 67.
Hassan has been considered as one of the finest artist in Pakistani drama industry, he appeared in many theatre plays along with ace comedian Umer Sharif. He started his career from Radio Pakistan and was part of many iconic plays.
Recently, he played a memorable role in ‘Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewa’ where he has been praised for his comic timing along with Hina Dilpazeer.
Hassan is survived by his widow. His funeral prayers will be held this afternoon at Ghazali mosque near Hassan Square, media reported.
