KARACHI: After Pakistan government announced Dilip Kumar’s ancestor home as a national heritage, the veteran actor couldn’t resist his feeling of joy.
According to Indian media, this news was broke to him by his wife Saira Banu. She said, “It is the highest tribute and a reward for his work. He was very happy and his broad smile manifested his gratitude. I could see tears of joy in his eyes”.
Reportedly, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has made this effort to extend the message of peace and friendship between two countries. Moreover, Pakistani government has been trying to invite the legendary couple for its inauguration ceremony.
Local media reported, the Pakistani government will be organising an event in Peshawar, where Kumar’s ride from there to Bollywood will be showcased. “No one has approached us yet, but we would extend our help if needed,” Saira Banu said.
