Summer is the season where the sun rays are at their highest peak. Nowadays Ramadan has fallen in weather that is significantly warmer than previous years and Fasts are much longer.

In summer eating fresh fruits can also help your body stay energized and hydrated and a fresh fruit juices will also help to satisfy thirst and avoid dehydration in summer months. Here are six summer fruits that will keep you cool during this extreme summer season.

Mango

Mango is highly popular fruit in summer and is often called the king of all the fruits. There are many different kinds of mangoes that range in color, shape, flavour and seed size. Mango has a lot of vitamins and nutrients that help the digestive function of the body by burning additional calories, helping in weight loss and fight cancer as well as a good source of vitamin A and vitamin C.

They're good for the stomach, weight loss and help prevent many common health problems such as cancer, high blood pressure, heart disease. Watermelon is approximately 90 per cent water, so it's undoubtedly the best way to keep you hydrated. It helps with digestion and keeps the stomach cool and they're a good source of vitamin A and C.

Berries

Berries are bright and sweet colorful fruits and are high in antioxidants which help fight chronic diseases. People eagerly wait for its arrival during the summer season. May-June is the best season for these fruits. Berries are a terrific source of fiber, another key factor in weight control. Berries are potent sources of antioxidants that essentially act like little bodyguards protecting cells from damage, which can lead to premature aging and diseases.

Plum or ‘Jamun’ is an important summer fruit, associated with many health and medicinal benefits. The seed of the fruit is best known to cure diabetes. Being it a seasonal fruit, the jamun fruit and jamun leaves are good for diabetes patient. The sufficient amount of jamun is beneficial for diseases like heart, high blood pressure, and heat stroke.

Plum or Jamun is known by different names such as jambul, jambas, jamun, black plum, black berry and many more. Regular eating of jamun helps to prevent hardening of arteries.

This bright redish orange fruit is another delight of spring and summer. Peaches are high in potassium, which is especially important in the summer due to the heat. Peaches are delicious and rich in fiber, vitamin C, antioxidants and have amazing skin benefits. Eat peaches instead of more fattening, processed snacks. Peaches are naturally sweet and can replace some of the added sugars in your diet.

Peaches contain 10 different kinds of vitamins, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin K and six of the B vitamins. While each vitamin has a specific benefit for maintaining the health and Peaches are a healthy way to fit in one of your daily servings of fruit.

Grapes are an obvious summer choice, easy to eat and excellent in quenching hunger and thirst and thus best choice for summers. Grapes contain high levels of vitamin C. They contain a small amount of natural sugar that will give you energy and a boost during the day. Grapes can help your body to grow and remain healthy, they can also help to fight heart disease and increase your chances of living longer. Grapes come in many colors, including green, red, black, yellow and purple.

Summer is a great season to enjoy these delicious seasonal fruits not only to satisfy your sweet taste but also to gain maximum nutritional benefits from them.
