Pakistani actress Veena Malik has raised her voice against the ongoing violence in Myanmar, Burma. She has expressed her solidarity with the Muslim community of Burma.
Media, especially the social media sites has played a vital role in highlighting the inhuman treatment with Muslim community in Myanmar. Showing concerns and solidarity with oppressed Muslims, various Pakistani celebrities have also come forward offering their attachment and favor with Rohingya Muslims.
Malik took to Twitter to show her support to the Rohingya Muslims. She tweeted, “You don’t need to be a Muslim to understand the pain of Burma Muslims. It’s just required Humanity and feel for others. Hello UN #BurmaMuslims”.
Earlier, model Ayyan Ali too came in support of Rohingya Muslims and offered special prayers for the oppressed Muslims.
Actor Hamza Ali Abbasi too raised his voice against the violence in Burma and said, “FINALLY I see our media and Govt talking about our Rohingya Muslim brothers and sisters. UN has proclaimed them as the most persecuted minority of the world who are denied the citizenship of their own country Burma. Ya Allah, please give our Govt and Armed forces the strength to do something for our Rohingya brothers and sisters”.
