Denying all the rumours Senator Rehman Malik said that he doesn’t have any links with Supermodel Ayyan Ali, who is currently serving the jail term for smuggling foreign currency to Dubai.
According to local media reports, Malik while speaking to the media at the residence of former federal minister Dr Arbab Alamgir in Peshawar said, “None of my family members, including myself, have any links with Ayyan. Those who are linking Ayyan with me should also provide evidence”. Adding if proven he maintains connections with the model, he will leave politics.
Previously, the model during her interrogation named several politicians and businessmen who used her services to smuggle cash abroad.
Ayyan’s father also nominated Rehman Malik’s brother Khalid Malik for threatening and attacking him (when he was attacked by an unidentified person and shot in the arm).
Ayyan was arrested on March 14 from Benazir Bhutto International Airport for carrying $500,000 in her luggage.
