KARACHI: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who was recently sentenced to five years in prison for the illegal purchase of arms from those involved in the 1993 Mumbai blasts, will resume dubbing for director Apoorva Lakhia’s upcoming “Zanjeer”.
According to the film’s director, only three days are required to get this movie done. The film is a remake of Prakash Mehta’s old hit that had Amitabh Bachan in the lead role.
Dutt, who is playing the role of Sher Khan, will start shooting right after the return of Priyanka Chopra from Miami playing the female lead opposite Telugu actor Ram Charan Teja.
The Supreme Court upheld Dutt’s conviction under the Arms Act for illegally possessing weapons and sentenced him to five years behind bars. They have asked him to surrender within four weeks of the verdict.
According to Indian media sources, Ram Charan Teja, the lead actor for the film, Priyanka Chopra and the director Apoorva Lakhia feel Sanjay Dutt’s predicament is very unfortunate.
