KARACHI: Sony officially launched its Xperia Z in Las Vegas at the (Consumer Electronics Show) CES in January and it’s now being promoted by none other than B-Town beauty, Katrina Kaif.
The TV ad shows Katrina flaunting the handset's ultra-sharp display and nearly razor-thin body. This is followed by a Sony Walkman music player scene, revealing its excellent sound quality. In the end, we see the actress washing her now dirty Smartphone, highlighting the fact that the phone is in fact, water resistant.
It works under water for 30 minutes which means you can use it while doing the dishes or even make it your stereo while showering! You can even dip the phone in your swimming pool as long it isn’t deeper than a meter. Although why would anyone want to take that risk with a cellphone nearly as expensive as the iPhone 5, with its $817 price tag? Remarkably, the mobile is dust-resistant too, so you can safely take it on a desert safari.
With its super-slim body, 13 MP camera, Jelly Bean OS and 1080HD screen, the Xperia Z is a worthy opponent for Samsung's S4. In fact, the latest buzz is that it is easily Sony’s Android masterpiece.
It is clear Sony is aiming at topping the Android A-list and this specs-champion might just do the trick!
