KARACHI: An FIR has been registered in the Aisha Manzil blast incident, the media reported on Wednesday.
At least four persons were killed and 42 injured in the powerful blast which occured at Aisha Manzil, Gulberg Town area, here on Tuesday evening.
According to initial reports, the powerful blast took place near the Aisha Manzil furniture market.
Police sources confirmed that the bomb was planted in a motorbike in the parking area near the MQM and Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran Public meeting.
The blast was heard in different areas of the city.
The injured have been shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed hospital.
A number of buses and other vehicles were also damaged.
The bomb disposal squad arrived at the site to search the area.
After the blast a severe traffic jam occured on both sides of the road.
Police and Rangers have cordoned off the area.
