KARACHI: FPCCI Vice President, Saqib Fayyaz Magoon re-assures full support, on behalf of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor describing the project equally beneficial for the entire region.

He was speaking at a seminar titled " Dynamic of CPEC : Priorities and Preparation of Pakistan" organized by the Directorate General of Training and Research (Customs), says press release here on Thursday.

Highlighting on important aspects of CPEC, FPCCI Vice President regretted that some negative elements were creating hindrance to CPEC but FPCCI stance was very much clear and would continue support this project whole heartedly.

He said CPEC was an opportunity for the development and progress for the region and shall prove to be a big game changer. For getting maximum benefits from CPEC, he said, we need to educate our youth and train them in new technologies to earn them important place in various projects.

Saqib stressed the need of availability of low cost of energy supply which was the basic determinate of sustainable development.

 

This seminar was attended by Federal Secretary, Ministry of Planning and Development, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, Deputy Consul General of Peoples Republic of China, Chen Xiaodong, Chief Executive Officer, South Asia, Pakistan Terminals (SAPT) Capt. Syed Rashid Jamil and Chairman PNSC Arif Elahi also graced the seminar.
