Misbah, Yasir join forces against Afghanistan
Pakistan former skipper Misbah ul Haq will join forces with fellow leg spinner Yasir Shah, to take on Afghanistan at Lord’s.
Misbah and Yasir will be featured in a star-studded Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) team that will play against Afghanistan in a 50-over contest, today (Tuesday).
The fixture will give spectators one of the last chances to see Pakistan most successful test captain Misbah in action following his retirement from international duty with Pakistan.
The MCC side will also feature the likes of New Zealand blaster Brendon McCullum who will lead the side, along with West Indies legend Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
Kumar Sangakkara was initially part of the MCC side for the match, but was forced to pull out of the match due to injury. He has been replaced by Warwickshire batsman Sam Hain.
Meanwhile, the Afghanistan side will include IPL stars Mohammad Nabi and teenage leg-spinner Rashid Khan, who took 17 wickets in his debut campaign this year.
