LAHORE: The Punjab Assembly session was adjourned owing to lack of quorum on Friday.

The sixth sitting of the 29th session of the current assembly started 56 minutes behind its schedule time with Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal in the chair.

During question-Hour Parliamentary Secretary for Industry, Trade and Investment responded to three, out of 13 questions.

The House granted two-month extension to the Standing Committees on Information, Transport and Local Government and Community Development for presentation of their reports.

The House deferred three adjournment motions on the request of the treasury.

PTI lawmaker Dr Murad Ras, pointed out quorum which led to suspension of proceedings. However, the quorum was found incomplete again on recount and the Chair adjourned the session till Monday at 11:00 am.
