LAHORE: Najam Sethi will be appointed as the next Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman. It was decided during the PCB’s AGM 2017, on Thursday.

As per media reports, the decision come after the cricket board passed a resolution, anonymously confirming Sethi to be the next PCB chief.

Earlier, the current PCB chief Shahryar Khan made it clear that he will not contest election for the aforementioned post after completing his tenure.

Najam Sethi, a prominent journalist has served several key positions on the country’s cricket board.

Sethi has been the head of the board’s Executive Committee for several years and, to his credit has been the leading force in bringing the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to fruition.

Meanwhile, Sharyar Khan tenure will end in August this year.
