RECORDER REPORT: PSX close of day

KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Monday having 51373.51 points with a positive change of 631.48 and volume of 53,458,920 shares.

High and Low were 51448.71 and 50742.03 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 240,190,120 shares with 395 total traded companies out of which 237 were up 148 were down and 10 were unchanged.

COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 33,789,600 shares. It was followed by TEXTILE SPINNING with a total traded volume of 28,141,700 shares.

The three top traded companies were Pervez Ahmed with a volume of 13,100,000 and price per share of 2.77 (0.32), Dewan Farooque Sp. with a volume 8,371,500 of price per share of 7.34 (0.03), Dewan Motors with a volume 8,038,000 of price per share of 56.35 (2.68).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pak LtdXD with price per share 2418.15 (115.15), Exide (PAK) with price per share of 999.96 (47.61) and ICI Pakistan share of 1157.65 (45.50).

The top three decliners were Hinopak Motor with price per share of 1580.00 (18.44), Jubile Life Ins with price per share of 710.00 (14.45) and Fazal Cloth per share of 176.11 (9.24).
