PARIS: European Union soybean imports in the 2016/17 season had reached 12.1 million tonnes by May 16, down 2 percent from 12.3 million at the same stage last season, official data showed on Thursday.
In soymeal, cumulative EU imports so far in 2016/17 were 15.5 million tonnes, down 12 percent from 17.7 million a year ago.
Palm oil imports stood at 5.1 million tonnes, down 14 percent from 5.9 million tonnes a year earlier, the data showed.
