WWE Legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is planning to run for US presidency in 2020 elections.

It is no more a joke but a more serious consideration as the pro wrestler and Hollywood mogul on Wednesday made the startling statement in an interview with GQ Magazine saying running for president in 2020 is “a real possibility.”

He described the idea of attempting to become the most powerful man in the world in 2020 as “very alluring”.

The Rock said he wanted to be president as it was “a great opportunity to help people”.

Johnson said it was about a year ago, around the time The Post’s Alyssa Rosenberg published an essay explaining why Johnson could be a viable candidate, that the actor began thinking about running for office more seriously.

“There was a real sense of earnestness, which made me go home and think. Let me really rethink my answer and make sure I am giving an answer that is truthful and also respectful,” he told GQ.

He also made witty remarks about existing politics of US like “We’ll have three days off for a weekend!” or “No taxes!”

When asked if he would leave his lucrative actor life and become president of the United States, ‘I think that it’s a real possibility,’ he said solemnly.

Johnson didn’t reveal any specific platforms he’d run on but he has been affiliated with the Republican and Democratic parties, having attended both national conventions in 2000 to encourage people to vote.
