Pakistan star all-rounder Shahid Afridi on Saturday deplored the state of sports in the province of Sindh.

The former captain was speaking at the Sports Journalists Association event. Afridi informed that he intended to build a cricket academy in the Karachi, but was denied by the Sindh government.

“I requested the Sindh government to allocate land for building a cricket academy in Karachi. But my request was denied,” he said, quoted.

Previously, Shahid Afridi appealed to Pakistani politicians to work together for the sake of the country.

Afridi, who has bid farewell to international cricket was answering to his fans on social media network Facebook, last night.

To a question, fan asked Afridi, why doesn’t he join Imran Khan’s PTI? To which Afridi replied, “all politicians are my friends.”
