Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is being criticize from various corners for omitting cricketer turned politician Imran Khan from their video celebrating the 25th anniversary of 1992 World Cup.
The PCB’s tribute video that kicks off with statements by PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan and Chairman Executive Committee Najam Sethi.
The video also featured the national heroes of World Cup winning squad including Wasim Akram, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Moin Khan and Mushtaq Ahmad, who cherished their victory and shared some of their memories from the 1992 World Cup.
However, the video notably omitted Wold Cup winning captain Imran Khan and Javed Miandad.
The omission didn’t sit well with many, as people went on to social media to express their views.
PCB comprises pygmies with deep insecurities and petty egos! As if ignoring Khan will change reality that Imran Khan captained winning team! https://t.co/QB17hN9rUL

Amir Sohail slammed the cricket board calling it a ‘politically motivated’ decision, in an interview to Samaa Tv.
Sohail, who was himself not included in the video tribute, said that the cricket board officials left out Imran Khan who now heads an opposition party, as they cannot go against the ruling party PML-N.
