Farooq Sattar's detention and release a 'drama', says Arif Alvi
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Arif Alvi on Saturday termed the detention of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar as a 'drama'.
In a statement issued immediately after Sattar's brief detention late on Friday night, Arif Alvi termed the whole episode as a joke. He said the Sindh government was not serious in any matter.
Meanwhile, ANP leader Shahi Saeed in his reaction on the development said that a well-thought game is being played which will in the long run benefit Farooq Sattar.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)-Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar was arrested on Friday night in Karachi but after a few hours he was released, police and party officials confirmed.
Farooq Sattar was taken into custody in a case over hate speech and incidents of violence in Karachi on August 22 last year.
