Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invited President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump to a Broadway musical that celebrates openness to foreign travelers.
President Trumps daughter accompanied Trudeau and United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley to the performance of Come From Away" in New York City, according to a report on The New York Times.
The pair sat in the audience as the Canadian prime minister took the stage to speak about the relationship between the US and Canada and the importance of friendship.
Before the show, Ivanka Trump and Haley greeted the Canadian officials.
More than 100 ambassadors from around the world were reportedly also in attendance.
The show, "Come From Away," is a musical about the generosity of a remote Canadian town that welcomed 6,579 airline passengers who ended up stranded in Newfoundland after the September 11, 2001 terror attacks.
