LAHORE: An Apex Committee led by CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif ended, without reaching a final decision to host the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final at Lahore or not.
A meeting was held in Lahore on Sunday, with the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in the chair, to review law and order situation and counter-terrorism measures.
The meeting was attended by National Security Adviser Nasir Janjua, Corps Commander Lahore Lt. General Sadiq Ali and other higher civil and military leadership, who deliberated over the law and order situation in the city.
According to latest media reports, CM Shehbaz said the Pakistan Army is fully capable of dealing with internal and external challenges and expressed hope that terrorism will completely end with the recently initiated Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.
Participants of the meeting expressed satisfaction over the operation against terrorists, their facilitators and patronizers under operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reportedly agreed to hold the final in Lahore but said that final decision laid with the apex committee. However, the meeting ended without reaching a final decision whether to host the match.
The PSL final which is scheduled to be held at the Gaddafi Stadium on March 5 is still uncertain after the recent terror wave in the country.
