DUBAI: Sammy led Peshawar Zalmi would take on Brendon McCullums Lahore Qalandars, in the ongoing second edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Lahore Qalandars are rising high, after a slow start in the initial part of the tournament, the Qalandars have managed to pick up the pieces, and are now placed nicely at the second slot just a notch above Islamabad United thanks to an improved run rate with six points.
Peshawar Zalmi on the other hand, has been on the losing track lately, despite putting up a good show. They have lost their last two encounters against the Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, respectively, and are now placed at the fourth slot on the points table with five points.
Earlier last night, the Quetta Gladiators beat Karachi Kings by six wickets at Dubai. Karachi Kings scored 154 while batting first for the loss of six wickets in stipulated 20 overs.
In reply, Quetta Gladiators achieved the target in 19 overs for the loss of four wickets.
