Medical experts say that medical errors occur even in the worlds best institutions because they are human errors. Recently, a video has been going viral on social networking sites, where one of the best hospitals in Pakistan allegedly gave wrong dose of injection to a patient causing his life as claimed by his family members.
An elderly man died in Aga Khan Hospital Karachi after an untrained nurse injected a wrong vaccine, claimed son of the deceased. The video spread like a wildfire maligning Aga Khan Hospitals long-build reputation.
In response to all the allegations, Aga Khan University Hospital later issued a statement explaining their stance on the issue.
The Aga Khan University Hospital offers sincere condolences to the family who lost their loved one early on Thursday morning, and we will continue to fully investigate the situation and do what we can to support them in this time of grief, read the statement.
The hospital administration however categorically refused to bow down before any form of violent behavior at the premises, claiming that few family members of the deceased resort to abusive and violent attack on medical staff of the hospital.
