This is the true story of one mother and her family who have been trapped inside the Syrian town of Madaya for more than a year. Madaya Mom is fighting off starvation, unsanitary living conditions and violent threats as she and her children are caught between warring factions in the countrys civil war, reads the excerpt of Madaya Mom, reported ABC news.
"Our bodies are no longer used to eating," she (Madaya) says in one panel. "My children are hungry but are getting sick, severe stomach pains from the food because their bodies arent able to digest and absorb the food because they were hungry for so long.
The comic resonates the impact of the civil war that has crushed Syria, and its citizens particularly the young, which are its biggest affectees.
