Islamabad: The black box of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flight PK-661 that crashed near Havelian on Wednesday has been recovered.
According to latest reports, Secretary Civil Aviation Authority Irfan Elahi has revealed that the flight position at the time of crash was 33 nautical miles of Islamabad, the same position when the plane lost its communication with radar.
Rescuers informed that all bodies of the victims in the tragic plane crash have been recovered from the site and shifted to Islamabad, where DNA tests will be carried out for the victim identification. According to latest reports, at least five bodies of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane crash victims have been identified at Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad.
While talking to Dunya News Elahi expressed that the investigation team will analyze the data recorder after which it will be evident as to what was the causation of the plane crash.
On the other hand, Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has formed a five-member committee to probe the plane crash. The committee will submit its report within three days. Whereas, PIA has also constituted an investigation board, headed by Air Commodore Munir Butt to probe the tragic plane crash.
Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) team has reached the site of the crash and has started collection of the evidences.
