ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani Friday said that parliamentary diplomacy was an effective tool to further improve ties between friendly countries.
Talking to Bangladeshi High Commissioner, Suhrab Hossain, he said that relations between the two countries have to be improved at the parliamentary and people-to-people levels.
"When parliamentarians meet, they can thrash out issues in a better way", he said.
The Chairman Senate appreciated the fact that for the first time, a parliamentary friendship group has been established between the two states.
He said that thorny issues between states could be resolved when elected parliamentarians sat across the table.
Bangladeshi High Commissioner extended an invitation to Chairman Senate to visit the Bangladeshi Parliament.
