BUCHAREST: Romanian state-owned power producer Nuclearelectrica reconnected its second nuclear reactor to the national grid early on Friday after fixing a technical glitch, it said in a statement.
The company shut down the reactor on Dec. 23 to fix a point glitch at an impulse line that serves a measuring device inside the reactor's building.
Nuclearelectrica has two 706 megawatt reactors at Cernavoda, accounting for roughly a fifth of the country's power production and hopes to add two more units.
