PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah has said that pragmatic measures are being taken to make Frontier Crime Regulations (FCR); a real tool of ensuring proper dispensation of justice to the tribal people of Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA).
Addressing the concluding ceremony of first ever training course for political administrative officers of FATA here at Judicial Academy, he said that it is a first attempt to train and update the knowledge of administrative machinery in FATA and enable them to ensure that justice is dispensed to the respective people through courts under the FCR laws.
He said that provision of justice to people is the core ingredient for ensuring complete stability and strengthening the society.
The course was participated by political and assistant political agents as well as political Naib Tehsildars from different tribal agencies of FATA.
Highlighting importance of the course, the Governor said, it is meant to strengthen the system of justice and to make the FCR; a real tool of ensuring proper dispensation of justice.
From the next financial year, the Governor said, measures would be taken to develop court rooms at the premises of the offices of political authorities to promote realization amongst the tribal people that dispensation of justice through courts is taking place and a system is there to make this possible.
The political administration, he added, should also play their due role for proper implementation of the law.
Later on the Governor gave away certificates to participants. Director General of the Judicial Academy Syed Hayat Ali Shah presented shield to the Governor as a token of his visit to the Academy.
Additional Chief Secretary, FATA, Arbab Muhammad Arif was also present on this occasion. Meanwhile, the Governor directly addressed from the Meezan Radio established at the premises of the academy. He also appreciated the role of the radio towards promotion of realization amongst people in getting justice.
