Transformer fire reduces nine vehicles to ashes in Karachi

KARACHI: Five cars and four motorbikes and others public properties were burnt when intense blaze erupted in an electricity transformer in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area here on Monday

According to sources, the fire reduced to ashes five cars and four motorbikes parked near the power pylon when the electricity transformer installed on it exploded with a big bang in Gulshan-e-Iqbal’s Block 13-D 1 in Karachi.

The fire prompted panicked residents to throng to the site and make efforts to put out the blaze, preventing it from further extending.

Electricity of the area remained suspended for many hours after the incident.
