SWABI: Two policemen were killed and another injured when unknown militants attacked a police check post here late on Sunday night.
According to details, unidentified assailants opened indiscriminate fire at the police check post located at Jhangira Road near grid station in Swabi.
Two cops Sabz Ali Khan and Jawad Khan were killed due to firing of the miscreants while another Saddam Hussain sustained serious wounds.
The attackers fled the scene after retaliatory fire from police.
The bodies and injured cop were shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Swabi for medico-legal formalities.
Heavy contingent of police reached the scene after the incident and placing a strict cordon off started search operation to nab the attackers.
