imageISLAMABAD: Leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Khawaja Asif on Wednesday said that incoming prime minister would take oath from President Asif Ali Zardari to fulfill constitutional demands.

People had rejected the policies of former PPP-led government through ballot, he added.

Talking to a private TV channel, Asif said that Pakistan People's Party should play positive role after facing defeat in polls.

He said that people had participated in general election with zeal and zest for bringing change in the country.

The PML-N leader appreciated Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for holding free, fair and transparent elections in Pakistan.

He stressed all political parties to show tolerance for strengthening democracy in Pakistan, adding that his party would spare no efforts for the development of the country.

Replying to a question, he said that first democratic transition of power was a good sign for the country's prosperity.
