ISLAMABAD: Chairman Press Council of Pakistan Raja M. Shafqat Khan Abbasi has said that media should be provided foolproof security so it could discharge its responsibility in an efficient manner.
It was the responsibility of the media to provide correct and due coverage to political parties, he said this while chairing a meeting.
Media commission report and election guidelines in five languages were reviewed in the meeting.
PCP Chairman said that a committee had been formed comprising Wamiq A Zubari, Syed Fasih Iqbal, Ghulam Nabi Mughal and Bachal Laghari to set up PCP regional office at Karachi whereas another committee had also been formed headed by Fasih Iqbal to redress the problems of journalists of Quetta.
The meeting also endorsed the previous meeting's agenda and stressed that complaint mechanism should be effective.
