ISLAMABAD: An earthquake of magnitude 5.4 on the Richter scale shook up Chitral, Swat and adjoining districts on Monday morning.
The jolts were felt in Chitral, Shanghla, Boner, Ghazar, and Malakand Agency, private news channel reported.
According to Meteorological Department, the tremors struck the above mentioned northern areas in the wee hours of Monday.
The epicentre of the quake was about 207 kilometres deep in Hindu Kush Mountain Range (Afghanistan).
