ISLAMABAD: The leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz would convey the reservations of the Opposition parties regarding government's nominees of caretaker prime minister and role of the provincial governors.
A senior party leader told APP that the matter has been decided in a high level meeting held here Saturday under the chair of Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif that was also attended by Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Opposition Leader in Senate Ishaq Dar.
In the meeting, the party leadership opined that all of the provincial governors were of political nature who are supposed to be impartial.
However, the PML-N leader hoped that the matter regarding the caretaker setup would be resolved amicably; however clear picture would come forth after the chief ministers' meeting with the prime minister scheduled on the same day.
Opposition Leader Chaudhry Nisar briefed the meeting about his conversation with the prime minister.
He said the party leadership has also contacted the party chief Mian Nawaz Sharif who also stressed to resolve the issue through dialogue.
The PML-N leader said the matter regarding the dissolution of all provincial assemblies and elections on the same day will also be discussed.
