PESHAWAR: Federal Minister for Communications, Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan Khalil has said that next general elections will be held on time and no one will be allowed to play sabotage democratic process in any circumstances.
He was talking to political and social elites and media in his residence in Islamabad.
He said that electoral reforms should be discussed, but the continuity of democratic process is top pre-requisite for national development and resolution of basic problems of the people.
The federal minister said that PPP is the only political party of the country which practically struggled for the salvation of democracy and continuity in every period adding that their leadership through rendering matchless sacrifices has proved that the party is the real spokesman of peoples' hopes.
He expressed the resolve that they will bring the country and nation out of severe crisis inherited by the past rulers.
Arbab Alamgir warned the undemocratic forces to improve their negative attitude, saying their faces have been unveiled before the nation.
The whole nation is with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf is carrying forward the philosophy, ideology and vision of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and former Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
He said that they are fully aware of the problems of the poor and despite limited resources making all out efforts for their resolution.
He urged the party workers for starting preparations for upcoming elections and inform the people about the better performance of the government.
