hoti-PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Haider Khan Hoti has condoled the death of prominent politician and former Amir Jamaat-e-islami Qazi Hussain Ahmad at his residence in Rahat Abad here on Monday.


Provincial Minister of Information Mian Iftikhar Hussain was present on the occasion. Mr Hoti expressed solidarity with his brother Dr Attique-ul- Rehman and son Asif Luqman Qazi.


He offered fateha for the deceased and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul. JI central and provincial leaders, Maulana Siraj ul Haq, Mulana Ibrahim, Shabir Ahmad Khan, Inayat ullah Khan, political leaders and people were also present on the occasion.


The CM recorded sentiments in condolence book and termed his death a national loss.


Later talking to media men, the CM said the loss of Qazi's death was not limited to JI, rather it was the loss of all of us, and we were equally held in this grief.


He said that personality, political religious and social services of Qazi Hussain Ahmad will be remembered for ever and the space created due to his death cannot be filled. He said that Maulana Mufti Mahmood, Abdul Wali Khan, Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan and Qazi Hussain Ahmad were bright stars of national politics that departed one by one.


He prayed for peace in heaven of the deceased and grant of courage and patience for members of the bereaved family.
