misbah-ul-haqISLAMABAD: Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq the middle-order batsman has become one of the few captains who beat India at its homeground.

 

According to The Times of India here Monday, before Misbah, Imran Khan and Inzamam-ul-Haq had the honour in a bilateral one-day series.

 

No wonder, before coming to India, Misbah and his boys took a little help from Inzy on how to tackle the hosts.

 

"We prepared well for the series under our batting consultant Inzamam-ul-Haq. The training camp back home really helped the team to performwell," Misbah added.

 

His run of scores hasn't been impressive but that is not that big a concern.

 

"The way Nasir (Jamshed) is batting, it is making our scores look ordinary. But apart from me and Azhar (Ali), our batsmen have been doing pretty well."

 

Misbah attributed his team's success to their bowling. Even MS Dhoni, earlier, had admitted that.

 

While India have been struggling to find a fifth bowler, Pakistan have the luxury of good part-time spinners in Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik.

 

"Spin has always been strong but in this series our fast bowlers have made all the difference," he said while praising his bowlers, who pitched the ball on seam and ensured that the India batsmen were pushed into reaching out to deliveries.

 

Preparation and the fact that they've had plenty of success of late has been the key.

 

"We have done well in the past few series and that has been one of the biggest erasons of our success," said Misbah.

 

The 38-year-old skipper said the visitors will settle for nothing less than a win.
