LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party Lahore President and Federal Minister Samina Khalid Ghurki has said the democratic process will continue and elections would be held on time.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, she said people would elect their leadership through votes as real change could only be brought through elections.
She said it was a great achievement that the PPP-led government was going to complete its five-year tenure even under difficult circumstances of the country, adding that all political parties were equally deserve congratulation for it.
She said the democratic process had been strengthened during the present era, adding the PPP would convert the country into a developed one with the support of its partners.
Ghurki said the PPP wanted that people's will and mandate should be respected and let the government to complete its time.
She hoped the PPP would again come to power due to its popular people friendly policies.
