Fog disturbs flights schedule at Benazir International Airport

ISLAMABAD: The thick fog engulfing the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad for the last one week, has disturbed the schedule of domestic and international flights at Benazir Bhutto International Airport.

The low visibility affected around a dozen domestic and international flights on Friday. "Many morning flights were rescheduled after improving the visibility in afternoon," an airport official said.

He said that the domestic flights, whose departure was delayed, included PK 651 for Lahore, and PK 1794 and PK 122 for Karachi while many International flights, including PK 206 for Kuwait, were also delayed.
