mandlivewala-ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Finance, Saleem H Mandviwalla has assured the Pakistan Electronic Manufacturer Association (PEMA) for resolving all issues related to its industries.

 

He said this, while chairing the meeting held here on Wednesday with delegation of PEMA.

 

Besides, government always facilitated the local industries by resolving all their issues because it would be increase the employment in the country, he added.

 

Mandviwalla said that the government would also resolve the issues related to the industries and ultimately it would help to increase the local production.

 

Vice President PEMA, Muhammad Farooq Naseem said that the electronic industries were facing the crisis due to smuggling of the TVs and LCDs in the country.

 

It was causing losses to national exchequer in term of taxes, he said adding that the government had always played positive roles whenever such crisis were arisen.

 

He said that the PEMA proposals for resolving the issues not only would benefits the business but increase revenue for government manifold adding employment opportunities would also be increased in the country.

 

The meeting was attended by Member Custom Riaz Khan, Chief (Tariff) Dr. Naeem and the delegation of PEMA.
